The Only Filter Your Face Needs: The Ordinary Introduces UV Filters SPF 40 Serum in India

The Ordinary has launched its latest innovation in India — the UV Filters SPF 40 Serum, a lightweight, layerable, and white cast-free sunscreen designed to make daily sun protection effortless. A brand that’s always hearing its consumers closely- The Ordinary following feedback on its previous mineral-based sunscreen, discontinued it due to its thick texture and visible white cast, and returned to the lab to create a formulation that better meets consumer needs. The result is a new broad-spectrum sunscreen offering protection against sun damage and premature skin aging caused by UV exposure.   Breaking the Chemical Bias A common misconception is the difference between mineral and chemical sunscreens. In reality, all formulations contain chemicals. While both can provide UV protection, it is challenging to create a transparent, lightweight, high-SPF sunscreen using mineral filters alone. For this launch, The Ordinary has used a blend of FDA-approved chemical filters to deliver an affordable, lightweight sunscreen that feels comfortable, leaves no white cast, and is suitable for daily use across all skin types, including sensitive skin. Why SPF 40? SPF is determined by the formulation itself and measures how long skin takes to redden under UV exposure with sunscreen versus without. The UV Filters SPF 40 Serum provides broad-spectrum protection against UVA and UVB rays. UVA rays, which make up over 90% of UV radiation, contribute to long-term skin damage and aging, while UVB rays, though only about 5%, are significantly more harmful and are responsible for sunburn, pigmentation, and DNA damage. By protecting against both, the serum helps reduce sun damage and premature skin aging when used as directed with other sun protection measures.

The Body Shop Launches New Campaign Film Starring Mandira Bedi, Sumedh Vasudev Mudgalkar, and Diksha Singh

Campaign Link – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUbJtCMGqz0 The Body Shop, a British-born international ethical beauty brand, celebrates its 50th anniversary with the launch of its new campaign film “Rebellious by Nature,” featuring actors Mandira Bedi, Sumedh Vasudev Mudgalkar, and Diksha Singh, each a rebel in their own right, on screen and off it. Rooted in the brand’s long-standing activist DNA, the campaign brings to life its philosophy of fearless self-expression, individuality, and purpose-led beauty. More than a commemoration of its anniversary, the campaign is a strategic reaffirmation: the values centred on ethical action, product innovation, and cultural relevance, the ones that built The Body Shop half a century ago, are what will carry it forward. The film features actors Mandira Bedi, an Indian actor, and one of the first female presenters during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2003, she challenged the male-dominated sports broadcasting space and proved that expertise has no gender. Sumedh Vasudev Mudgalkar, an Indian film, television actor and a dancer, noted for taking on roles that tested his limits, suggesting a defiance of playing stereotypical characters; and Diksha Singh, a former Miss India finalist who made national headlines when she chose to step beyond the conventional glamour path and contest Zila Parishad elections in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. The brand as always rooted in the philosophy, of being “Rebellious by Nature”, the film signifies how unsolicited advice is something that people have been absorbing for too long, and now they’ve become acutely aware to follow their own path and voices. Through this campaign, The Body Shop is simply stating that individuality is never up for debate, and it will never be.  With a Hinglish (Hindi+English) voiceover, the film ultimately builds to a simple question that is bound to stay with the audience: if nature has never followed anyone’s instructions, why should you? The tagline, “Ban the Gyaan,” says the rest. The campaign spotlights three of India’s Most Loved – The Body Shop iconic products: Edelweiss Serum: For skin that thrives, not just survives British Rose Body Butter: Floral, fragrant and love-fuelled Ginger Shampoo: The zingy haircare hero “There’s something extraordinary about a flower that blooms at 3,000 metres, where the air is thin, the conditions brutal, and nothing grows easily. The Edelweiss doesn’t survive despite its environment. It thrives because of it. That’s the kind of woman I’ve always wanted to be. The Body Shop ‘Rebellious by Nature’ campaign isn’t about rebellion for the sake of it, it’s about owning your choices, your skin, and your story,” said Mandira Bedi. Adding to this, Sumedh Vasudev Mudgalkar said, “Nature never apologises for existing, it simply does, fully and without hesitation. That idea resonated with me deeply. The Body Shop’s Ginger Shampoo doesn’t try to be something it isn’t. It’s rooted, real, and quietly powerful, just like the choices we make for ourselves when we stop listening to what everyone else thinks we should do.” “There’s always pressure to follow a certain path, especially in the beauty space. For me, it’s been about choosing purpose and staying true to who I am. I love how the British Rose range is shown as part of a simple, personal ritual, it’s joyful, honest, and completely your own.,” shared Diksha Singh. Commenting on the milestone, Rahul Shanker, Group CEO, Quest Retail & House of Beauty, said, “Rebellious by Nature is who we are at our core – bold, fearless, and unapologetically joyful. As we mark 50 years, this is not just a celebration of our legacy, but a defining moment to reimagine our future. With a sharper focus on innovation, retail expansion, and deeper consumer engagement, we are committed to building The Body Shop for the next generation. This milestone also reflects our ambition to strengthen our presence across India, bringing our purpose-led, ethical beauty offerings closer to consumers while staying true to the values that have always set us apart.” Adding to this, Harmeet Singh, Chief Brand Officer, The Body Shop Asia South, said, “Rebellious by Nature’ isn’t a campaign for us, it’s a refusal to conform. For 50 years, we’ve challenged what beauty should look like, how it should behave, and who gets to define it. With #BanTheGyaan, we’re calling time on outdated rules and unsolicited opinions. The future of beauty is personal, purposeful, and unapologetically your own and we’re building exactly that for the next generation.” The campaign is set to roll out across a full ecosystem of touchpoints. Alongside the hero film, a series of digital-first assets and mini films will run across social and digital platforms, supported by creator collaborations and in-store activations. Rakhi Poddar-The Global Iconic Artist!

Rakhi Poddar, a 47-year-old artist and founder of Devtaru, is celebrated for her vibrant, emotion-driven paintings that capture the strength, equality and resilience of women. Poddar also works as a spokesperson and is noted for her, often, themes surrounding femininity and art.As she says,” My relationship with art began long before I understood what art truly was. It emerged quietly and instinctively in childhood, at a time when colours spoke to me more deeply than words ever could. Some of my earliest and most cherished memories are tied to festivals, especially Diwali, when the floors of our home became open canvases. I would spend hours creating rangolis with vibrant powders, completely absorbed in the rhythm of colours flowing through my hands. Each finished design brought joy, and every smile or word of appreciation planted a small seed of confidence, affirming that this language of colour belonged to me.” From a very young age, Rakhi was constantly drawn to blank spaces white paper, empty corners, any surface that invited expression. ” I was particularly fascinated by women’s faces and their emotions. The strength hidden within softness, the stories reflected in eyes, and the quiet power of expressions pulled me towards portraiture.” Alongside this, she developed a deep love for black and white. Charcoal, with its rawness and depth, fascinated her. She still remembers her first charcoal pencil, gifted by her mama from America. With it, she began sketching women’s faces strong yet gentle, expressive yet silent.” As she remembers, ” To my surprise, these works were appreciated by everyone around me, and my skills gradually began to evolve.” Experimentation became an essential part of her journey. She loved exploring new materials, understanding textures, and mastering light, shade, contrast, and tonal depth through sketching. As she grew older, her commitment to art deepened. She actively participated in school competitions, learning discipline, patience, and observation. As she quips,” My mother played a significant role in shaping my artistic outlook. Though out a science student, her precise diagrams taught me that creativity and structure can beautifully coexist. Driven by passion, I pursued formal art training in Delhi—a transformative phase that refined my technique and broadened my vision. Art became not just something I practiced, but something I lived. Life later brought a pause through marriage and responsibilities, yet art never left me. When I finally picked up the brush again, it felt like a rebirth. By then, my practice of Nichiren Daishonin Buddhism had infused my work with deeper intention, positivity, and purpose.” AWARDS & ACCOLADES Over time, her journey was recognised through meaningful milestones, including the Savvy Excellence Award (2017), Kala Gaurav Award (2018), participation as a spokesperson at the Women’s Summit (2019), and the Society Achiever Award in 2025. “Today, I work primarily with acrylics, creating vibrant, meditative, and nature-inspired paintings that bring calm, balance, and positivity into living spaces. My journey continues not only as an artist, but as a guide for aspiring creatives believing that art, like life, is not about perfection, but about sincerity.” (For more details  follow Rakhi Poddar at Instagram :devtarubyrakhi)

Realign with your soul purpose with Gautami Trivedi

Every life carries a story beneath the surface—shaped not only by choice and circumstance, but by memory, meaning, and unseen design. My work begins at that intersection.   I began my professional journey in the entertainment industry, working across producing, marketing, and distributing music videos and feature films. Storytelling was central to my work—understanding emotion, timing, and the subtle forces that make a narrative resonate. Over time, I found myself drawn to a deeper question: what shapes the arc of a human life beyond what we can explain?   That inquiry led me to the study of astrology and karmic sciences—not as belief, but as a language reflecting our relationship with the Creator and His creation. What began as personal exploration evolved into my life’s work. Today, I serve as an astrologer and karmic life guide, helping individuals understand the patterns influencing their lives while honouring free will. Karma is often mistaken for fate. I see it as the blueprint of the soul’s journey—an energetic design formed through past lives and present experiences, offering lessons and opportunities for growth. Through personalized astrological readings, I help clients recognize these patterns in their birth charts, bringing clarity to recurring themes, relationships, and decisions. My work integrates Lal Kitab, Nadi Jyotish, Numerology, and the study of the soul’s journey.   I also offer Past Life Regression (PLR), a modality I studied to support clients in exploring the deeper roots of emotional blocks and repeating life experiences.   My approach is grounded, compassionate, and practical. This work is not about predicting the future—it is about understanding one’s design, exercising conscious choice, and living in alignment with a deeper intelligence that connects us all.

Tune Neend Kharab Kar Di-The Memoir Challenging the Silence Women Are Told to Endure : Sonia Gupta

Sonia Gupta is a British-Indian author, speaker, and global changemaker using her personal story to challenge one of the most deeply ingrained expectations placed on women across cultures: the expectation to endure in silence.   Her powerful memoir, Tune Neend Kharab Kar Di, explores the emotional reality behind that silence — the quiet pressure many women feel to protect family harmony, maintain appearances, and carry emotional burdens that slowly erode their sense of self.   At its core, the book confronts a generational message many women are raised with: that their role is to keep the peace for everyone else, even if it means quietly losing themselves. “For years they said I disturbed the peace,” Sonia writes. “But I was the one lying awake trying to save a life that was quietly destroying me.”   After surviving a twelve-year marriage shaped by endurance and cultural expectation, Sonia’s story drew international attention when she hosted a public divorce celebration — a moment that challenged long-standing stigma around separation.   “My divorce party was never about celebrating a marriage ending,” Sonia explains. “It was about celebrating survival.”   At the heart of Sonia’s work is a truth many women recognise.   “Women like me don’t break loudly,” she writes. “We disappear one adjustment at a time.”   Through her memoir, speaking engagements, and empowerment tools, Sonia now encourages women around the world to reclaim their voice and rebuild their lives with courage.   “You did not disturb the peace,” she writes. “You simply stopped abandoning yourself to protect it.”   By transforming personal pain into a global message of empowerment, Sonia Gupta is helping women everywhere recognise a powerful truth: sometimes disturbing the silence is the first step toward freedom.

Self Confidence is a Super Power : PAM SURI, Empress of Entertainment UK

Pam Suri is described as a multi-faceted entrepreneur who balances roles as an event organiser, weight loss consultant, and positive thinker. She has been recognized for her ability to create warm, glamorous atmospheres with flawless organization, recently receiving personal praise from attendees of the ISMA 2026 awards for her vision and dedication.   She is known for her “wild imagination” and ability to curate luxury events that feature grand entrances (such as limousines) and professional media coverage.   A glamorous entrepreneur at the centre of her own entertainment empire, she arrived in UK at the age of 35 from Kenya. For her it was a bit of a culture shock, but at the same time it transformed her into the formidable businesswoman she is today.   Now 65, Mrs Suri was born in Nairobi, Kenya where she enjoyed a comfortable and somewhat idyllic childhood – a ‘simple’ middle-class life ‘full of love and happiness.’   As she says “In the beginning it was really a nightmare. For two years I couldn’t understand the way of life here and everybody thought I would go back to Nairobi,” she reveals.   “My biggest challenge was to adapt myself to this country and to learn how to be independent. I had never ever worked in Nairobi. I didn’t know how to drive because we had drivers there and we had servants to do everything. So my biggest challenge was to be an independent person, which I’d never been in Nairobi.”   Pam learned how to drive and set about looking for work, securing a job as a receptionist at Sunrise Radio.   “I’ve always been a very ambitious person and I like to be rich and famous. I like the name/fame game,” she admits.   “I always believed the sky’s the limit for me. I don’t give up. When I encounter a problem I look for the solution. Everyone faces ups and downs in life, but the thing is be positive and believe in yourself, which I do.”   Mrs Suri set about losing weight and trained to become a weight-loss consultant. It was the first taste of being her own boss and it was a taste she certainly enjoyed…   But entertainment was where her true passions lay, and so she decided to dip her toe into this glamorous world – a world where she sparkles and is now fully submerged.   “My profession is my passion,” she says.   “I always give variety to my people and take the advice of my regular clients. If you look after your customers, no matter what you do they always support you,” she goes on to reveal.   “I’m thankful for all my clients and all my supporters who are always there for me.   After each show people come to me and say ‘Pam this is your best show’. Then my next show comes and they say; ‘no, this is your best show!”   Founder of Pam Suri Productions; it is a boutique event management and promotion company based in the United Kingdom, specializing in high-end Bollywood-themed entertainment, award shows, and cultural celebrations. Pam Suri, often referred to as the “Empress of Entertainment,” has established herself as a prominent figure in the British-Asian entertainment circuit. The production house focuses on creating immersive experiences described as “Events Beyond Your Imagination”.   Talent Promotion: The company frequently collaborates with international talent, singers, and digital creators to bridge the gap between traditional Bollywood glamour and modern social media influence.   It is clear that Pam thrives within her role as ‘the hostess with the hostess.’ Even as a grandma at the age of 63, she shows no signs of slowing down as she glows with the vibrant energy of someone half her age.   As she adds further, “Happiness and good health has a lot to do with it along with excellent time-management.”   “They say happiness is all in the mind – it all depends on how you think and I think I’m a very happy person. I make people happy and my experience of living in the UK has been wonderful.   “I’ve met wonderful people, wonderful professions and I’ve made a name for myself, which I feel very proud of,” she reveals.   “In Nairobi I was just a housewife, but now people know me as Pam Suri.   “I worked hard to be where I am today. People look at me and see all the glitz and glamour, but behind the scenes is a lot of hard work,” she adds. “It’s my life – it’s my passion and I’m lucky to have enjoyed success on this wonderful journey.”   Just like a super star she concludes by saying, ” Live and enjoy every moment as kya pata kal ho na ho! ”   Follow her work @pamsuriproductions

The dance reflects the close relationship between the communities and their natural environment, particularly in the mountainous regions.     The festival will also feature a grand cultural showcase comprising curated performances, folk music presentations, and an ethnic fashion show celebrating the traditional attire of Arunachal’s diverse tribal communities.   Arunachal Pradesh, often referred to as the “Land of the Rising Sun,” is home to over 26 major tribes and more than 100 sub-tribes, each contributing to the state’s diverse cultural identity. With vast forest cover, extraordinary biodiversity, and growing adventure and eco-tourism opportunities, the state is steadily emerging as a sought-after destination for experiential travel.   By hosting the festival in New Delhi, the organisers aim to strengthen awareness among policymakers, tourism stakeholders, and urban audiences while promoting sustainable and responsible tourism practices.   The event is open to the public, inviting residents of Delhi-NCR and visitors to experience the spirit, artistry, and traditions of Arunachal Pradesh in the heart of the capital.   Event Details: Festival of Arunachal 2026 21–22 February 2026 Dilli Haat, INA, New Delhi
