THE NEW AGE CELEBRITY MAKEUP EXPERT:PRIYANKA GUPTA

“I love the confidence that makeup gives me.” ― Priyanka Gupta   Makeup was one of those things that were kind of always in the back of Priyanka’s mind! When she was younger, she was obsessed with makeup! She couldn’t wait to head down to the drugstore to buy the newest eye shadow and lip stick. Only thing was, she never really realized she could actually have a career in beauty, but being a small town girl it’s a difficult task for her to follow my passion for makeup. So, once she got her first taste of makeup by getting appreciation from friends and family, she was hooked.   That’s why she always tells people to follow their passion, because if you follow your passion then your work becomes your hobby.   She had done her makeup designing course under the guidance of Baba Meru from Pune for six months, and after that she had joined Meenakshi Dutt for another six months. When she was studying she has started getting calls for makeup and bookings.   At that time she was alone and can’t do everything and go everywhere by herself. So she has started her first salon ‘Brides’ in Punjabi Bagh. Then she had opened her second salon ‘Headlooks Unisex Salon’ in Janakpuri. After opening salon she can handle as many clients as she can.   In makeup she do HD makeup, silicon makeup (airbrush), celebrity makeup,. Basically she does all kinds of makeup but she is specialized in celebrity make up.   In Headlooks she had done both Men and women. She do beauty work, chemical work, basically all those things which a salon can cover. All her staff was well trained and experienced. All of them have a experience of more than 4-5 years in makeup industry. From the start of carries she was very clear about her experienced staff. She doesn’t like to work with inexperienced persons. So that she can give better service and repeat value to my clients. She had won many awards and accolades for her work as a celebrity makeup artist.   Honestly saying she had no idea that she could become a successful makeup artist in such a short span of time. She haven’t imagined in her dreams that she can open two salons in few years. This all happened because she has trusted my beliefs and followed her passion.

Avoid These Skincare Mistakes In 2021

Among the organs of the body, the skin is one of the first to bear the brunt of sun, wind, cold, heat, humidity and pollution, leading to problems like sun tan, sunburn, dark patches, blackheads, pimples, acne, rash, dryness of skin-sensitivity. Common skincare mistakes can actually aggravate these problems. A skincare regimen should be devised according to the skin type and according to the seasons. Sometimes our skin needs toners and refreshers to close the pores, remove sweat deposits and refresh the skin. On the other hand, sometimes our skin needs moisturisers and emollients. We follow many skincare routines that not only disturb our skin but can cause many problems in the skin.   Here are few common skincare mistakes we all should avoid:   Avoid using harsh astringent lotions for oily skin. This can disrupt the normal balances. An astringent is useful in summer, especially for oily skin, as it reduces oiliness and prevents clogging of the pores. If it is too harsh, mix the astringent lotion with rose water in equal quantities and keep in an airtight bottle in the fridge.   Not taking your makeup off – Makeup helps to clog the pores only if we do not take it off properly. Every night, make sure to wash off your makeup and ensure you double cleanse so no residue is left off. Make sure to use brushes and sponges that aren’t used on other people. If the skin is oily, dirt and pollutants adhere to the skin. So, avoid touching the face with your hands. The hands actually carry germs and bacteria, conveying them to facial skin and leading to eruptive skin problems. If there is acne, it can get aggravated by touching the face.   Taking long showers – Skincare routine starts with cleansing and if we do this step wrong, then all other things don’t really matter. Taking long showers, especially hot ones end up stripping the skin off its natural oils. This dry skin then becomes prone to fine lines and wrinkles.   Avoid applying nourishing cream for normal to oily skin. Even for normal to dry skin, smothering the skin with cream and leaving it on all night does not help. The pores should be free of cream, so that the skin can “breathe.” Whether summer or winter, avoid leaving cream around the eyes all night. This can lead to puffy eyes. Wipe off the cream around your eyes gently, after 15 minutes, with moist cotton wool.   Skipping out on sunscreen – No matter what your skin type is what season you’re in, never miss out on sunscreen. It is one of the most important steps in any skincare routine. It not only protects your skin from the harmful UV rays of the sun but also works as a protective layer against all other environmental factors like pollution.   Most people with oily skin tend to wash their face frequently with soap and water, in the effort to reduce the oily look. This is actually a mistake. The soap may be too alkaline in nature and too much soap-and-water washing can disrupt the normal acid-alkaline (pH) balance of the skin. This leaves the skin prone to pimples and acne.   If you think that oily skin produces enough oils to moisturise the skin, you’re wrong. The sebaceous glands produce natural oils to compensate for the dryness. So, always apply sunscreen and moisturizer even if you have oily skin. Make sure to use a water-based moisturiser instead of a cream-based.   Our skin always needs to breathe. So overdoing it with serums, creams, products and masks will only confuse the skin. Make sure you use minimal ingredients and products that give maximum benefits. Don’t over-exfoliate and give your products some time to work before you switch them. Make sure to apply your products from the lightest of consistency to heaviest.   Inputs Provided By:   Dr. Nivedita Dadu   Renowned Dermatologist, Founder & Chairman of Dr. Nivedita Dadu’s Dermatology Clinic, the most trusted skincare clinic in Delhi NCR given to its world class dermatology treatments.   (https://www.drniveditadadu.com/),

The Powerful Path- Future Forward with Ace Astro Gemologist Abhijita Kulshrestha

The Powerful Path- Future Forward with Ace Astro Gemologist Abhijita Kulshrestha There are few women who have made inroads successfully into domains that have been traditionally owned and run by men folk. Deep-diving into the world of Vedic astrology and planetary gemology was a conscious choice for this exceptional communications professional. She quit a regular career knowing well that it may take years and rigorous work to carve a name for her. But fate had other plans and she soon rose to fame as one of the most accurate as well as empathetic professionals in her field.Meet Abhijita Kulshrestha, the well-known and highly sought after Vedic astrologer, planetary gemologist, author, mentor and life coach who was recently feted by the Hon’ble Minister of State for Commerce Sh. Som Prakash and the Confederation of All India Traders on the occasion of Women’s Day as a dynamic persona who has contributed in her field of work as well as brought positive change and transformation in people’s lives.   She’s the director of Gemstoneuniverse – India’s premier organisation exporting coloured gems across the globe and the benchmark when it comes to planetary gem therapy specializing in Jyotish Gemstones. She is a thought leader and an ace mentor helping human beings in transforming lives.   In the year 2020, she was on the cover of the Global Millionaire Magazine and was listed as one among the top 35 successful female entrepreneurs in India. She has authored two books and the most recent one – Cosmic Sutra is an incredible manual to healing and meditative practices that anyone can embrace irrespective of race or religion.   In the year 1999, she had won the coveted CSR Ms. Super Brain of India award- in a national level competition, establishing her genius and mental prowess. She is easily one of the most sought after astrology, Astro gemologist and life coach consultants, shining light on the path forward for some of the most illustrious industrialists, leaders, business heads and celebrities among others. It would be really interesting for our readers to know how you decided to venture into this field…   Well, there is a carefully crafted order to the universe but we as mere mortals may not be able to perceive it, as we regard our judgment and thinking as the best. It was a conscious decision to take the path of studying Vedic astrology and planetary gemology. I have always had an academic bent of mind, so poring over several astrology related books and texts was quite interesting. Also empathy and an ease with which I could embrace a spiritual regimen also helped with growth. There were definite watershed events that presented either/ or choices but fortunately I was brave enough to say yes to the right ones. In retrospect I do realise that the value systems and demands of my current profession is in sync with who I always have been. Kindness, empathy, honesty, spiritual growth – all these have been the pillars of our work and that is why I have been able to walk with ease thus far.   What according to you are essential qualities for women to be successful? This is a tough one that I get asked, and there is no one rule fits all answer over here. Each woman is unique and can bring something incredible to the table in her area of work. The qualities that define success are actually specific to specific roles. If you really enjoy something, and as I mentioned earlier share similar value systems, success is a foregone conclusion. However, in any line of work, integrity, compassion, patience, emotional resilience and focus on sustaining quality of product or service offered are a must for moving ahead.   Can women have it all? A successful career as well as a satisfying family life? That’s a very interesting question and I believe that women across the world pressurise themselves into extremely demanding situations trying to live the dream of having it all. There is an internal desire to succeed professionally but also DNA level programming which is unforgiving if the role of mother or spouse or daughter or daughter-in-law is found lacking in some way.   I think, quite practically speaking, that mostly, it is possible to have one thing at a time.   It is almost impossible to multitask (a big myth) because the mind can address only one question at a time. Imagine – to juggle between the absence of an employee on a day with an important meeting, a sudden crisis hitting the life of a client and at the same time making sure that you have not missed out on any of the things to be packed for your child’s first trip out of station – it is quite mind-boggling.   So between judging yourself for your performance as a career woman and wondering if you have been the ideal mother, or have you done right by your parents – it is like finding yourself between a rock and a hard place every other day. Any successful person understands this and at the same time is kind enough not to impose exacting standards on oneself. The first rule of success is to extend compassion towards self – knowing well that some days you will have a laurel wreath on your head for your good work and the other days it may only be a warm embrace from your parent or your child – a generous reward falling in your kitty.   One has to learn to operate in the space that lies between all and none. And quite happily at that. That is what being a real person is about and not what that over achieving everything a successful person is made out to be!   How can people benefit from Vedic Astrology and by using jyotish/ planetary gemstones by using them? Does it really make a difference? A person may be seeking help, a solution or a breakthrough in any area
